NEW YORK – March 1, 2016 – Ugam, a global leader in managed analytics, today announced that analytics industry veteran Dr. Suresh Divakar has joined its team, with a focus on driving growth for the company’s managed analytics services.
Dr. Divakar has worked previously in strategic consulting and analytics roles at Avon Products, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Citigroup, Kraft Foods and PepsiCo. Having extensive domain experience in consumer, financial services and pharmaceutical industry research, his specialties include sophisticated big data analytics, consumer research and insights, strategic planning, forecasting, demand management, business intelligence, pricing and optimization.

Like many of Ugam’s executives, Dr. Divakar has an engineering degree and an M.B.A. He received his B.S. in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay; his M.B.A. with a focus in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta; and his Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Iowa. Divakar has also been a guest speaker at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cornell University, the University of South Carolina and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and served on the policy advisory boards at the University of Maryland and The University of Iowa.
